Think brick, quick

Think Brick Australia is calling for last-minute entries into the Horbury Hunt 2010 Award.
Recognising architectural innovation and outstanding brick craftsmanship in built projects, the Horbury Hunt Award is one of three competitions that comprise the Think Brick Awards 2010.

Primarily an architectural competition initiated by the Horbury Hunt Club in honour of the renowned Australian architect, John Horbury Hunt, the award also acknowledges the combined role architects, designers, engineers, landscape architects and designers, builders, masonry contractors and brick manufacturers play in achieving excellence. So any member of the project team may enter the award.

The brief is for a project comprising at least 70 per cent clay brick or clay brick pavers.  Projects must have been completed since January 2008.

Categories include: Residential Architecture (including alterations and additions), Commercial Architecture (including government, public, health, education and multi-residential projects) and Urban Design/Outdoor Spaces.

Submissions close May 31. Details are on the Think Brick Awards website.
